This page covers what information this site collects when you visit, and what happens to it. Short version: I collect the standard, minimal data most content sites do, I don’t sell it, and I use it to understand what’s working on the site and to track affiliate purchases.
What gets collected automatically
Like most websites, this site’s hosting and analytics tools automatically log basic technical data when you visit — things like your general location (country-level), browser type, device type, and which pages you viewed. This is standard traffic data, not anything tied to your name or identity.
Cookies
This site may use cookies for basic functionality and for affiliate tracking. If you click a product link and make a purchase, the affiliate network involved (BuyGoods, econsumed, or fasttrack14, depending on the product) may set a cookie to track that the sale came through this site, which is how commissions get credited. See the affiliate disclosure for more on how that works.
Comments
If you leave a comment on an article, the comment content, plus your name and email if you provide them, is stored so the comment can be displayed and so I can respond if needed. Your email address is never shown publicly or shared with anyone else.
Third parties
This site is hosted on infrastructure that, like any hosting provider, processes visitor data as part of serving the site. Affiliate networks linked from product reviews have their own privacy practices once you leave this site and land on their pages — those are outside my control, and I’d encourage reading their policies before you buy.
What I don’t do
I don’t sell visitor data to third parties, and I don’t collect more information than I need to run the site and understand basic traffic patterns.
Children’s privacy
This site isn’t directed at children, and I don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Questions about this policy
If you have a question about how this site handles data, leave a comment on any article, or use the contact page for details on reaching me.
This policy may be updated as the site grows. The version posted here is always the current one.
