ProDentim vs. PurDentix: Which Oral Probiotic Should You Buy?

This site may earn a commission if you buy through a product link on this page, at no cost to you. Full details in my affiliate disclosure.

ProDentim and PurDentix are both chewable oral probiotics, and I’ll say upfront what I already said in both individual reviews: the core formulas are close to identical. Three of the four named strains overlap exactly. The real differences are in when you take them, how transparent the label is, and how long each brand has been around.

I tested both, two months each, so this is what actually separates them in practice.

Same core formula, different presentation

Lactobacillus paracasei, Bifidobacterium lactis BL-04, and Lactobacillus reuteri show up in both. PurDentix adds a fourth, Lactobacillus salivarius. Both use inulin as a prebiotic base and tricalcium phosphate for mineral support. I can’t tell you which brand formulated first, or whether they’re both sourced from the same contract manufacturer, that’s genuinely common in the supplement industry, and neither review is an accusation of copying.

What actually differs is the label. PurDentix publishes real milligram amounts: 100mg inulin, 40mg probiotic blend. ProDentim gives you a blend total and stops there. If label transparency matters to you as a trust signal, that’s a real point in PurDentix’s favor, independent of whether the ingredients themselves perform any differently.

Morning vs. bedtime: a bigger difference than it sounds

ProDentim is a morning habit, chewed after breakfast. PurDentix is built around a “bedtime mineral ritual,” taken right before bed. In my own testing, the bedtime timing did something the ingredients probably didn’t: it got me standing at the sink at night, which meant I stopped skipping my evening flossing. That’s a routine effect, not a formula effect, but it was the most noticeable practical difference between the two.

If you already have a solid morning routine and want to add one more thing to it, ProDentim fits there. If your evening routine is the weaker link, PurDentix’s timing might do more for your actual habits than the ingredients alone would.

Track record and review claims

ProDentim has the longer history, I could find an archived version of its sales page from mid-2022, which counts for something in a category full of short-lived launches. PurDentix launched in late 2024 and doesn’t have that same runway yet. Both sales pages lean on customer review counts I can’t independently verify, ProDentim’s “clinically proven” language and PurDentix’s “79,200+ reviews” claim are both brand statements, not sourced data, and I’d treat both the same way: skeptically.

So which one should you buy?

Go with ProDentim if you want the more established brand and a morning routine fits your day better. My full review covers 60 days of testing, including where the “clinically proven” claim falls short.

Go with PurDentix if label transparency matters to you, or if a bedtime habit is more realistic for your routine than one more thing at breakfast. My full review gets into the label details and the bedtime effect on my own flossing habit.

Frequently asked questions

Are ProDentim and PurDentix the same product?

Not the same product, but a very similar formula. Three of the four named probiotic strains overlap exactly, along with the inulin base and tricalcium phosphate. The real differences are timing (morning vs. bedtime), label transparency, and brand history, not the core ingredients.

Which is better, ProDentim or PurDentix?

It depends what you’re optimizing for. ProDentim has the longer track record. PurDentix publishes a more transparent label and its bedtime timing may fit certain routines better. Given how similar the formulas are, the deciding factor for most people should be timing and price tier, not efficacy.

Should I take ProDentim and PurDentix together?

I wouldn’t. Since the formulas overlap so heavily, taking both means duplicating most of the same strains rather than getting a broader benefit. Pick one based on timing and label preference rather than combining them.

Which has a better guarantee, ProDentim or PurDentix?

Both offer 60-day money-back guarantees. PurDentix’s language explicitly covers returns even if the bottles are empty, which is slightly more generous wording than ProDentim’s standard 60-day policy.

Is PurDentix just a copy of ProDentim?

I can’t say who formulated first, and it’s common in the supplement industry for different brands to source from the same contract manufacturers and repackage with different branding. Overlapping ingredients don’t necessarily mean one copied the other.
